Motorcycle Freaks has expanded its accessories store with a wider range of men's jackets for all weather conditions.

Beaverton, United States - August 20, 2023 /PressCable/ —

The new expansion comes following a study from Dr. Liz de Rome, who investigated road safety and found that wearing a motorcycle jacket lessens the risk of open-wound injuries by 63%. Motorcycle Freaks now offers over 1,000 jackets and upper body options to provide protective wear for every preference.

Finding a reliable motorcycle jacket at an affordable price can be a frustrating experience for many riders, the store explains. Most jackets are either cheaply made and offer minimal protection, or are high-end with premium price tags. Motorcycle Freaks aims to bridge this gap by offering an expansive range of thoughtfully designed and ruggedly constructed jackets at reasonable prices.

One standout option is the Mid USA Riderware leather shirt jacket. It has a European-style collar and no collar flaps for a sleek, minimalist look. The jacket also features fully lined snap-down front pockets for securely storing small items. Riderware uses premium leather and detailed stitching for enhanced durability.

For colder environments, the Katahdin Gear Recon Jacket is a recommended choice. It includes insulation to retain warmth while airflow-zippered vents under the armpits prevent overheating. The jacket has a removable liner and hood for versatility across seasons. Adjustable waistband, sleeve cuffs, and hood allow for a customized fit.

Customers looking for a lightweight option will discover the Firstgear Men's Kathmandu 2.0 Jacket. It has a water-resistant yet breathable outer shell to keep the elements out while preventing interior condensation. With plenty of exterior storage options and adjustable pockets for armor placement, this jacket offers more functionality for long rides. Hook-and-loop adjustments at the waist, forearms, and biceps enable a personalized fit.

A spokesperson states: "When you shop Motorcycle Freaks for any power sports accessories, you're not just getting premium Honda, Suzuki, Yamaha, or Polaris accessories — you're getting great service from a dedicated, expert team just as passionate about motorcycles and power sports as you are. Asian Hospital turns a social media ‘troll’ into a health awareness campaign

MANILA, Philippines — What if a social media troll could actually help save lives?  This is the idea behind “Ate Rose,” the latest health awareness campaign of Asian Hospital and Medical Center aimed at educating the public about atherosclerosis, a condition that can lead to serious cardiovascular diseases.  Atherosclerosis happens when fatty deposits or plaque build up inside the arteries, restricting blood flow. Over time, it can contribute to heart attack, stroke and peripheral artery disease.  To make the condition more relatable and easier to remember, Asian Hospital created Ate Rose as a colorful and mischievous character who “trolls” social media users and personalities.  The campaign uses humor and social media interactions to draw attention to a serious health concern, while directing audiences to information about atherosclerosis and the importance of early detection.  Ate Rose has interacted with several online personalities, including Kuya Kim Atienza, Krizzia Luna, Markybap and Via Austria, creating conversations that eventually lead audiences to Asian Hospital’s website to learn more about the condition.  The campaign also goes beyond the digital space.  Ate Rose has been brought to schools, workplaces and barangays through on-ground caravans. She has also been featured alongside Yosi Kadiri, the well-known character associated with the Department of Health’s anti-smoking campaign, highlighting the role of smoking as one of the risk factors associated with atherosclerosis.  The hospital likewise incorporated cardiovascular health checks into activities such as the Run for Your Heart event organized by the Rockwell Run Club, where participants were given access to free blood pressure and BMI checks conducted by Asian Hospital staff.  Ate Rose also joined actress Amy Perez in an episode of the “Tyang Amy” podcast, together with Asian Hospital cardiologist Dr. Marc Louie Del Rosario, to discuss atherosclerosis, its risks and how the condition can be prevented or managed.  As part of its efforts to encourage early detection, Asian Hospital introduced the Ate Rose Card, which offers a package of check-ups and diagnostic procedures related to the detection of atherosclerosis, along with discounts on selected treatment procedures for qualified patients.  Through the campaign, Asian Hospital hopes that the public will not only remember the character of Ate Rose but also recognize the real health threat she represents.    Because while Ate Rose may be a fictional “troll,” atherosclerosis is real — and knowing the risks, getting checked and taking action early could make a difference.
