A truly offensive attack on a forest fire depends on rapid deployment of equipment and personnel.

Operationally the initial deployment of the fire fighting force is to contain a wild fire or forest fire. This is a defensive measure aimed at preventing the fire from spreading and causing damage to property and people.

Wild fires and forest fires are fought on slopes, in valleys and often at an increased risk to firefighters. Once perimeter flames reach a point that it’s not possible to use hand held equipment the strategy becomes defensive.

Offensively it can be driven to the perimeter of the fire and extract from any potable water source even if contains silt, gravel or dirt.

The ATV mounted Trident Pump can be driven to the hotspot location, rapidly deployed to harvest the nearest remote standing water and spray a distance of over 500ft at 10,000 imperial gallons per minute.

A rapid deployment of a Trident Pump Fire Net as part of the ground base campaign could prevent the need for the typical high cost of machinery and personnel in some cases, while controlling a wildfire faster.
