JEDSTAR team are implementing their STARSTAKING platform for JED holders.

December 1, 2021 —

JEDSTAR is pleased to update the community regarding its Gaming Project, as it is set to use their GameFi Token, Kred. As metaverse is the next evolution of both human social engagement and the boundaries that can be pushed for the possibilities for creativity and inspiration.

People already spend the majority of their lives within the digital world through regular engagement on social media apps and online video gaming just to name a couple of examples. The metaverse will take all these online social engagements to the next level in terms of merging both the digital and real-world together.

We are now seeing various projects using virtual reality to make their metaverse a lot more immersive for the users as well as integrating NFTs into their model to ensure transparency of ownership of digital assets which has been missing in the AAA gaming companies' business model for the past decade-plus.

They will allow those who use the metaverse to truly own what they are purchasing on the marketplace within these games, allowing them to trade these among other players with the opportunity to make an income from this. Both Axie Infinity ($AXS) and The Sandbox ($SAND) are doing just that, and both have been very successful in terms of gaining a good player and investor base.

The JEDSTAR project is doing just this for their gaming project, with their GameFi token KRED. The project will have this as their in game currency for various use cases such as their NFT marketplace AGORA, CCG, MMORPG, and metaverse games and in their STARDOME partnership with Skill Gaming.

About JEDSTAR

JEDSTAR is a three BSC token DECO that focuses on three sectors, DeFi, GameFi, and in-game governance. The first token JED, for DeFi, was released just over 3 months ago and has seen growth over that time. There are now over 5000 $JED token holders with a comparatively low market capitalization of $33 million USD.

Now they are gearing up to run their presale for the GameFi token KRED which will have a range of use cases within the gaming sector of the project. This is a very exciting token with the partnership already formed with Skill Gaming that will see the world’s first CAAS (Currency as a Service) implemented allowing gamers to be able to swap their in-game currency for fiat when they wish to withdraw their rewards. It will also be used in their NFT marketplace AGORA, CCG and MMORPG, and metaverse games.

For the CCG, you will be able to use your mobile phone to play the game and earn in-game currency through a proof of play (POP) system for casual gamers that serves as a comparison to the play to earn (P2E) system that is traditionally reserved for more serious competitive gamers.

KRED

As a further initiative for gaining KRED, the JEDSTAR team is implementing their STARSTAKING platform for JED holders to stake their tokens to be returned upto 120x in KRED rewards.

With the developments the team is planning to roll out, it aims at being a long-term option that will serve as a way to generate rewards for staking JED tokens and be able to receive KRED returns.

Partners

The JEDSTAR team has already made significant partnerships with various companies with more expected to be announced as the project develops.

Their gaming partner that will develop the CCG and MMORPG are FRAG Games that have already developed AAA games for well-known clients. They have a fully professional in-house team that will develop the game from scratch rather than re-skinning characters which other game developers use to lower development costs.

Chainlink has also become a partner where they will help improve cross-chain interoperability for KRED as it becomes a platform-agnostic currency to help broaden its uses on various blockchains. They will increase the mass adoption of KRED as it seeks to be the in-game cornerstone for the projects’ GameFi sector.

They are also partnered with Remote Control Productions who is an independent company that focuses on the production and development of entertainment software. This partnership is a key part of the project as they are working with a highly experienced and respected team in gaming.

Another one of JEDSTARs’ partners is Skill Gaming that will be paramount in the STARDOME initiative where KRED will be used on their non-crypto gaming platform as the world’s first CAAS (Currency as a Service) for gamers to easily withdraw their in-game currency into fiat (USD) currency.

CEO, Josh G, an advocate of mass crypto-adoption and regarded as the next CZ for the decentralized gaming industry, and his team develop JEDSTAR to be the market leader in GameFi and Metaverse categories.

Raising connected kids

Raising connected kids

For many parents today, handing a child a first mobile phone feels like a milestone wrapped in mixed emotions. On one hand, it offers reassurance. A quick message after school, a call during an emergency or an easier way to coordinate family schedules can provide peace of mind. On the other, it opens the door to a digital world children are navigating at increasingly younger ages. As online learning, messaging, streaming and gaming become part of everyday childhood, parents face an important question: How can they give their children the independence they need while still providing proper guidance? The answer may lie not in limiting technology altogether, but in introducing it thoughtfully and building healthy digital habits together. Children need to understand that having a mobile phone comes with responsibilities, from managing their data and screen time to choosing appropriate content and communicating safely online. Parents, meanwhile, need practical ways to remain involved without constantly hovering over their children’s digital activities. One option available to families is Globe’s GPlan Junior, a postpaid line designed for dependents ages 7 to 20. Offered as an additional line under an eligible Globe Postpaid plan, it allows parents or legal guardians to manage their child’s connectivity while giving young users room to communicate, learn and access age-appropriate digital experiences. The plan includes unlimited calls and texts, 100 minutes of landline calls and 10GB of all-access data with rollover and data-swap features. It also provides access to Messenger Kids and Mobile Legends, as well as selected video, social and gaming apps. Families can choose one app from each category, with options including YouTube Kids, Netflix, Disney+, Viu, Viber, WhatsApp, Roblox, Discord, PUBG and Call of Duty. Through the GlobeOne app, parents can monitor data usage, check remaining allocations, manage Data Swap options and choose their child’s unlimited apps. A parent-managed postpaid account also removes the need to regularly reload credits or keep track of expiring promotions. More importantly, such tools can become starting points for conversations about responsible technology use instead of serving merely as restrictions. “As children become more connected, parents are looking for solutions that keep up with their family’s evolving needs,” said Jo Anne Illescas-Pique, senior director for Globe Postpaid. Digital responsibility can also extend to money management. Eligible GPlan Junior subscribers who successfully register for GCash Jr. may receive GCash vouchers, providing parents with another opportunity to teach their children how to save, spend and manage digital money within a supervised environment.

PH earns first Two Michelin Keys as nine hotels make 2026 list

MANILA, Philippines — The Philippines has earned its first-ever Two Michelin Key hotel distinctions, with nine properties recognized in the 2026 Michelin Guide hotel selection. El Nido Resorts Lagen Island in Palawan and Raffles Makati received Two Michelin Keys, marking them as the first Philippine properties to reach the distinction, which the Michelin Guide describes as an “exceptional stay.” Raffles Makati was promoted from One Key, while El Nido Resorts Lagen Island entered the selection with Two Keys. The recognition brings the country's total to nine Michelin Key hotels for 2026, up from five properties in the previous selection. El Nido Resorts Lagen Island was recognized for its location within a forested cove surrounded by limestone cliffs, as well as its use of Filipino materials and craftsmanship, and its environmental practices. Raffles Makati was cited for its all-suite accommodations, private butler service and intimate residential atmosphere. Four properties also received their first One Michelin Key: Nustar Hotel Cebu in Cebu City, El Nido Resorts Pangulasian Island in Palawan, Hotel Okura Manila at Newport World Resorts in Pasay City, and Manami Resort in Sipalay City, Negros Occidental. Three hotels retained their One Michelin Key distinctions from the previous selection: Nay Palad Hideaway in Siargao, Fairmont Makati, and Amanpulo in Palawan. Tourism Secretary Dita Angara-Mathay welcomed the recognition in a statement saying, “This recognition reflects the continued growth of Philippine hospitality and the dedication of our tourism stakeholders in creating exceptional experiences for travelers from around the world.” She also said the recognition could help strengthen the country's positioning as a destination offering different types of high-end accommodations, from island resorts to hotels in urban centers. “Beyond the recognition itself, we see this as an opportunity to further position the Philippines as a destination where travelers can find exceptional stays, from our island resorts to our urban hotels, all anchored on the warmth of Filipino hospitality,” she added. The Michelin Key is the hotel counterpart of the Michelin Star for restaurants. Hotels are assessed by Michelin Guide inspectors using five criteria: architecture and interior design; quality and consistency of service; overall personality and character; value for the price; and the property's contribution to its neighborhood or setting. A One Michelin Key represents a “very special stay,” while Two Michelin Keys indicate an “exceptional stay.” Three Michelin Keys, the highest distinction, represent an “extraordinary stay.” The 2026 global selection includes 2,832 Michelin Key hotels across 79 countries, with 657 receiving Two Keys and 2,020 receiving One Key. For the Philippines, Angara-Mathay said the growing number of recognized properties also contributes to strengthening the country's tourism brand. “Every recognition earned by our tourism stakeholders contributes to a stronger Philippine tourism brand. As we continue to welcome more travelers, we will likewise continue working with our partners in the industry to further elevate the quality of Philippine hospitality,” the Tourism chief added.
