Essex Union Podiatry Caldwell Announces that they are Currently Open for Business

Aug 14, 2020

August 14, 2020 - /PressAdvantage/ - Essex Union Podiatry wants the community to be aware that they are open and taking appointments. They are stringently following all CDC guidelines to minimize potential risk and provide quality care during this challenging time period. The clinic has three locations: one in Rahway, NJ, one in Springfield and one in Caldwell. There are three physicians with the group and they can deal with nearly any podiatry related need.

With services that range from bunion treatment to reconstructive surgery after an accident – whatever the foot related problems might be, there is very likely a service that Essex can do to help those who are suffering from it. From Plantar’s Fasciitis to an ingrown toenail, Essex will take the situation in hand and get a solution or plan of action underway. The clinic even treats frostbite, which can become a problem even in New Jersey.

Bone issues, tendon and ligament issues, and issues like Morton’s Neuromas or Bursitis can also cause misery for those attempting to deal with them. And with 26 bones in a foot, 30 joints and more than 100 muscles, tendons and ligaments, there is unquestionably a lot that can go wrong there.

Dr. Kaplan, one of the doctors at the practice, said “Our goal is to provide our patients with knowledge and options so they can be part of the decision process regarding their care. We get them back on their feet!”

Podiatry care is particularly important for diabetics, due to the circulatory issues that they can have, and the Essex Union Podiatry clinic has diabetic care as a major concentration of its practice. It is recommended that every diabetic see a podiatrist at least once a year. This is in addition to the daily self-examination of their feet which essential all diabetic care instructors recommend for their patients.

Lucy Leonard, a patient of the practice said “I didn’t know before I went to Essex that as a diabetic I should never go barefoot, not even at home. I stepped on a Lego brick and my foot has never been quite the same. Luckily Dr. Kaplan was able to pack and treat the wound and I did not have to have surgery. I will never let anyone but her work on my feet again!”

Essex Union Podiatry maintains an active social media presence and much useful information can be found on its Facebook Page. Visitors will be able to see details and watch videos concerning many of the procedures that are available.

Positive reviews and feedback from some of the clinic’s patients can be found on its Facebook Page where it received a glowing 5-star review as well as on its website where a selection of testimonials is available.

As one patient said in her review, “After being in severe pain and in tears every day for months I walked into Dr. Galante’s office for a consultation. His bedside manner was amazing, and he immediately had a game plan to help me. He walked me through the surgical procedure that was necessary, and I have no pain today and have my life back. Thank you so much Dr. Galante. You are the best.”

Jane McPhearson, a spokesperson for Essex Union Podiatry, said, “We always like to receive positive feedback from our patients because it lets us know how well we are doing and how much we have helped. We always aim to help any patient to the best of our ability of course, but it is especially gratifying though, to hear from someone whose testimonial states that we have helped give them their life back.”

Smarter Bathroom: Meet Moderno Home Depot’s MHD-4500 AI Smart Toilet

The modern bathroom is evolving beyond functionality, with smart technology bringing greater convenience, personalized comfort, and new possibilities for everyday living.  Joining this shift is Moderno Home Depot’s MHD-4500 AI Smart Toilet. Introduced as the Philippines’ first app-controlled smart toilet, the unit combines smartphone connectivity, hygiene-focused functions, and wellness-inspired features in a contemporary design.  At the heart of the MHD-4500 is its smartphone connectivity. Through the Moderno Smart Home app, available on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store, users can connect to the unit via Bluetooth and access its smart features directly from their phones. Voice control and a remote control system offer additional ways to operate the toilet, providing greater convenience and flexibility for everyday use.  “As the Philippines’ fastest-growing smart toilet brand, Moderno Home Depot believes that innovation should make everyday living more convenient and comfortable. The MHD-4500 reflects our commitment to bringing smart technology into practical home solutions, giving Filipino homeowners more opportunities to experience the benefits of a connected home,” said Rovie Sanchez, co-owner of Moderno Home Depot.  Beyond connectivity, the MHD-4500 places personal hygiene and comfort at the center of the bathroom experience. It features a self-cleaning nozzle, front and rear wash functions, bidet and hip wash options, adjustable nozzle positioning, and UV sterilization. These functions offer users more options for a personalized cleansing routine while incorporating additional hygiene features into an everyday essential.  Comfort takes center stage through its heated seat, adjustable water temperature, and adjustable drying system. Multiple massage modes, including strong-soft and moving massage functions, provide further customization. Built-in aromatherapy, dynamic lighting, and a soft night light add a wellness-inspired dimension, while automatic lid opening and closing and a slow-closing seat ring bring added convenience to daily routines.  These features are housed in a modern, elongated design crafted from premium ceramic. An LED display and integrated controls complement its contemporary appearance, allowing the unit to combine smart functionality with a clean, modern aesthetic.  Practical considerations are also part of its design. The MHD-4500 uses a siphon-jet flushing system with automatic and manual flushing options, as well as a foot-sensor flush function. A built-in water tank and booster pump support its flushing system, while leakage protection and power-outage flushing provide additional functionality.  For Jean Sanchez, co-owner of Moderno Home Depot, thoughtful home upgrades are about creating spaces that respond to people's everyday needs.  “Creating a comfortable home goes beyond choosing beautiful fixtures. It is also about finding solutions that make everyday routines easier and more personal. With the MHD-4500, we want to encourage homeowners to look at the bathroom in a new way and discover how technology can bring added comfort and convenience to their daily lives,” she said.  The product launch coincided with the opening of Moderno Home Depot’s newest showroom in Biñan City, Laguna, on Oct. 8, expanding the brand’s presence in South Luzon. The showroom offers homeowners, architects, and construction professionals another destination to explore modern bathroom fixtures and home solutions.  With the MHD-4500, Moderno Home Depot brings connected technology into a space where comfort, hygiene, and functionality intersect every day. It offers homeowners a new way to think about bathroom upgrades — not simply as a matter of aesthetics, but as an opportunity to make everyday living more convenient and personalized.

Bringing money lessons to young learners in Visayas, Mindanao

Bringing money lessons to young learners in Visayas, Mindanao

Young learners in schools across Visayas and Mindanao are getting additional resources for classroom learning and financial education through a partnership between Knowledge Channel Foundation Inc. (KCFI) and BPI Foundation (BPIF). Under BPIF’s FinEd Unboxed program, the foundations distributed educational materials and multimedia learning packages to recipient schools in Isabela City, Basilan; Zamboanga City; Guimaras; and Iloilo City throughout September. The school visits also featured the premiere of new episodes of “Estudyantipid,” an original educational series that introduces financial literacy to children through relatable situations and practical guidance. “At BPI, we believe that financial education is a powerful tool for empowerment. By helping young Filipinos develop practical money skills early, we can help build a generation that is more responsible, resilient, and prepared for the future,” said BPIF trustee Mary Catherine Elizabeth Santamaria. Each recipient school received a 55-inch smart TV equipped with a Knowledge Channel Portable Media Library containing more than 1,500 curriculum-aligned video lessons. The resources are designed to support daily classroom activities across grade levels through multimedia learning. KCFI vice president Edric Calma thanked BPIF for its continued support in bringing these resources to more Filipino learners. Calma described the turnover as an investment in learners’ futures, with curriculum-aligned video lessons developed to make learning more engaging, interactive, effective and relevant.

Dennis Trillo steps up as hubby, dad and peacemaker

Dennis Trillo steps up as hubby, dad and peacemaker

It was GMA Drama King Dennis Trillo himself who put an end to the drama sparked by Ogie Diaz’s vlog interview with Patrick Garcia, which stirred the proverbial hornet’s nest. Dennis was even the one who offered Patrick an olive branch. Let there be peace for the sake of everyone involved, most especially the kids. Dennis made the point that Patrick could have handled a long-forgotten issue privately instead of going public, even if he felt compelled to speak to protect his daughter from being pilloried on social media. Comedienne Candy Pangilinan echoed that sentiment, indirectly coming to the defense of her close friend Gelli de Belen. Gelli was being drawn into an issue she had nothing to do with. With the controversy dragging more people into the fray, it fell to Dennis to sweep up the mess, haul it into the bin and, hopefully, shut the lid for good. No more scattering the contents, please. His wife, Jennylyn Mercado, also deserves credit for her firm resolve to say no more. Let the men take center stage in this emotionally charged, true-to-life showdown as spectators wait with bated breath to see where it leads. The same goes for Jennylyn’s management company, Aguila Entertainment, which has chosen to keep its eagle-like talons in check. Jen’s manager Becky had already said plenty in her statement, delivering criticism sharp enough to leave Patrick reeling. For now, it’s “peace on earth” in this corner of showbiz — an early Christmas treat. What, then, might showbiz followers wish for next? Since Christmas is traditionally a season for children, we can only hope Patrick reaches out to his son Alex Jazz, spends time sharing stories with him and begins making up for lost time. In keeping with the season, Patrick could even play Santa Claus. No need for the full costume or the trademark beard, just a huge sack of goodies — although making up for years of absence will take more than whatever he puts inside it.
