Jessup, MD. – Since 1977, Heil Plumbing has been a proud member of the Howard County community. The commercial plumbing company recently learned one of the local schools in the area has been conducting its classes outdoors in hopes of reducing the spread of the coronavirus. The school has also been working to put together a safe pick-up and drop-off system for parents and students which has proven to be challenging. In response, the team at Heil Plumbing reached out to make a donation of six safety vests to the school in total, three yellow and three in orange.

The local and national education administrators, faculty, and staff have been going above and beyond over the last year and a half to make sure students still receive a quality education while not compromising their health and safety. Many schools have been required to find creative ways to meet this demand including installing safety barriers around students’ desks, eliminating the use of lockers, or holding their classes outdoors. However, this creativity often raises new challenges that required additional or new supplies on an already tight education budget.
