Victoria Circumcision Clinic and Dr. Mohamed Hajoona are pleased to announce that the clinic has relocated. Since 20 August 2019, the clinic has been associated with the Regent Medical Group at 466 Murray in Preston VIC. Previously, the clinic was located at Highlands Medical Centre in Craigieburn. Circumcision, is the surgical removal of all or part of the foreskin, or the skin covering the head of the penis. The decision to be circumcised is very personal and should only be made after careful consideration. Patients are encouraged to discuss any questions or concerns with their health-care providers.

The reasons for circumcision generally fall into three broad groups, including treatment of a medical condition, prevention of future disease; or to fulfill a religious or cultural tradition. Men and boys of all ages can be circumcised. Currently, the procedure is performed on Tuesdays through Fridays during clinic hours. The procedure consists of a twenty-minute consultation followed by the application of a numbing cream. The patient waits thirty minutes for the cream to take effect, then the circumcision procedure itself takes approximately 25 minutes. After the procedure, patients are asked to wait thirty minutes for a final review before they are sent home.

There are many different techniques to perform circumcisions. The options will be discussed with the patient/family during the consultation. The aim is to have a successful procedure while keeping the patient as comfortable as possible.

The procedure is done by Dr. Mohamed Hajoona, who started his medical education in the United States. He completed his degree and training in Canada and has been working as a general practitioner in Australia since 2008. In addition to English, Doctor Hajoona can also speak Arabic fluently. He is a Member of the Circumcision Academy of Australia, which has affiliation with the Circumcision Academy of America.
