Brooklyn Head-On Collision Attorney Samantha Kucher Discusses Head-On Collision Accidents in New York

May 16, 2022

May 16, 2022 - /PressAdvantage/ - Brooklyn head-on collision attorney Samantha Kucher releases a new article (https://www.rrklawgroup.com/car-accident-lawyer/head-on-collisions/) explaining head-on collision accidents in New York. The lawyer mentions that head-on collisions are the most fatal type of car accident. Head-on collisions can cause severe injuries to both the driver and the passenger.

According to the Brooklyn head-on collision attorney, “The momentum and overall increased force of head-on collisions result in more fatalities and catastrophic injuries than any other car accident on our roads. If you have been injured in a head-on collision in New York, you may be suffering significant injuries, facing massive medical costs, and worrying about your long-term health and welfare.”

The lawyer explains that head-on collisions are when two vehicles traveling in opposite directions collide front-to-front. The Institute for Highway Safety reported that 59% of all fatalities in passenger cars can be attributed to head-on collisions in 2019. This is despite the fact that it only accounts for a small proportion of car accidents.

Attorney Samantha Kucher says that the force of head-on collisions can be equal to the combined speed between the vehicles. People inside a vehicle are traveling at the same speed as the vehicle. Head-on collisions are dangerous because both the vehicle and its passengers decelerate upon impact. This can lead to serious injuries and even fatalities, even if the vehicle has a safety restraint system.

“After the fault is established, the injured party must also establish injuries. New York has no-fault insurance laws that allow injured parties to pursue compensation for medical bills, lost wages, and other expenses from their own insurance company after an accident. In addition, those who are injured in a head-on collision can pursue recovery from pain and suffer from those who caused their injuries. In order to do so, they must meet what is known as Serious Injury Threshold,” says the accident lawyer.

Lastly, attorney Kucher emphasizes the importance of seeking the help of an experienced head-on collision lawyer. Having a skilled attorney may be able to help the victim receive the compensation they deserve for their injuries.
