Dr Abir Rammo, owner and principal dentist of justSMILE, a dental clinic based in Bondi NSW is pleased to support the ADA’s annual campaign that is geared towards increasing dental health throughout all of Australia.

“Keep your smile for life” is held during the first full week of August to increase oral health awareness and reduce the fear associated with going to the dentist. The statistics for oral health in Australia is staggering - only 1 in 5 adults brush more than once per day.

While we are all aware that we need to brush our teeth and floss regularly, (some of us still remember Doctor Rob in the Oral B ads from the 80’s) that still hasn’t encouraged more people to manage their dental health more proactively.

justSMILE is a locally owned and operated dental clinic servicing Bondi and the surrounding suburbs of East Sydney. They offer a wide range of family and cosmetic dental services including the ever-popular teeth whitening service, porcelain veneers, and Invisalign clear aligners.

Dr Rammo is well known for offering minimally invasive and non-surgical methods to treat his patients. He is a testament to proactive dental care by providing his patients the very best in dental options, reducing anxiety, and offering the latest dental technology for comfort and success.

The primary objectives of the Australian Dental Association are to encourage the improvement of oral and general health of the public, promote the ethics, art and science of dentistry and support members to provide safe, high quality professional oral care. justSMILE is committed to providing the most comfortable and advanced dental care available.” And is completely supportive of the campaign.

Dental Health Week through the ADA offers resources to help promote positive oral health messages throughout all our communities, schools, and media outlets. Resources can include handouts, brochures, and even social media ads to reduce the fear and stigma of going to the dentist.

Dr Rammo is pleased to announce that they are launching special promotional pricing for Invisalign through Smile Deals, a leading consumer marketplace for dental services in AU, as part of their commitment to the ADA's Dental Health Week awareness campaign.

Adults seem to be conditioned to accept that as they get older, they will lose teeth as a normal part of aging. justSMILE and the ADA want to remove that expectation and encourage routine exams and preventative measures to “Keep Your Smile For Life!”

Michelin Guide returns for second PH restaurant selection

MANILA, Philippines — The Michelin Guide will return to the Philippines to unveil its second restaurant selection for Manila and Environs and Cebu, coinciding with the global gastronomy community’s celebration of the Michelin Star’s 100th anniversary. The Michelin Guide Restaurant Ceremony will be held on Oct. 29 at the Manila Marriott Hotel at Newport World Resorts. The 2027 edition builds on the inaugural Philippine selection, continuing the guide’s recognition of the country’s culinary heritage, hospitality and emerging generation of culinary talent. The ceremony will also highlight the distinctions awarded by the guide, including One, Two and Three Michelin Stars, Bib Gourmand and Michelin Selected. The Michelin Star recognizes culinary excellence, with restaurants receiving one, two or three stars based on the level of achievement. Bib Gourmand recognizes establishments offering good-quality cooking at good value, while Michelin  Selected establishments meet the guide’s standards and are considered worthy of a visit. The 2027 ceremony carries added significance as the Michelin Star marks its 100th anniversary. The star rating system was introduced in 1926 and has since become one of the guide’s distinctions for recognizing restaurants that deliver outstanding dining experiences. Each restaurant included in the selection is independently assessed by anonymous Michelin Guide inspectors using five universal criteria: the quality of the ingredients, mastery of cooking techniques, harmony of flavors, personality of the cuisine, and consistency both over time and across the menu. The inspectors’ assessments are applied across the guide’s destinations, providing a consistent basis for evaluating restaurants regardless of location or culinary style. The Oct. 29 ceremony will also feature a curated food and beverage experience prepared by a selection of local and international chefs recognized by the Michelin Guide. The event is invitation-only but will be accessible to a wider audience through a livestream on the Michelin Guide Asia YouTube channel.
