Partnership enables discovery of rebates for energy-efficient equipment listed on AQ

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Sept. 23, 2020 - PRLog -- AutoQuotes (AQ), the technology leader in the foodservice equipment and supplies industry (FES), has partnered with Energy Solutions, a California-based clean energy implementation firm focused on creating large-scale environmental impacts, to give AQ dealers access to instant, point-of-sale rebates for eligible operators on thousands of energy-efficient equipment listings on AQ.

As the industry's most comprehensive product database and configure, price, quote (CPQ) software, tens of thousands of AQ users will be able to quickly find high-efficiency equipment eligible for energy rebates through Energy Solutions' "Instant Rebates!" Programs on AQ. Eligible AQ dealers can now easily enroll in an Instant Rebates! program and earn incentives on each piece of eligible equipment sold. Participating dealers can offer cost savings right on the sales invoice to their eligible customers that operate in one of eleven states with an Instant Rebates! program.

Through this partnership, AQ Dealers can easily locate eligible equipment by a "Rebates" badge on applicable product listings or by filtering their AQ search results to see all rebate-eligible equipment in a single view. It provides dealers with a simplified way to find and apply for equipment rebates. "Instant Rebates!" also offers dealers paperless rebate applications and timely payments within two weeks. At the same time, manufacturers that list energy efficient equipment on AQ benefit with increased exposure for those products.

"AQ is excited to partner with Energy Solutions to drive more sales of high-efficiency equipment," said David Demres, VP of Marketing and Strategic Development at AQ. "With access to instant rebates through AQ, we are providing a way for dealers to increase sales of energy-efficient equipment and save their customers money without decreasing margins – a huge benefit to our customers, and a boost to manufacturers who make energy efficient equipment."

"AutoQuotes is unquestionably an innovator in the FES industry," said Chris Burmester, Executive Vice President at Energy Solutions,  "And we're proud to partner with them to make it even easier and more profitable for dealers and manufacturers to move energy efficient equipment that is better for customers and for the environment".

Soleimani, a general who became Iran icon by targeting US

Oct 20, 2020

TEHRAN, Iran — For Iranians whose icons since the Islamic Revolution have been stern-faced clergy, Maj. Gen. Qassem Soleimani widely represented a figure of national resilience in the face of four decades of U.S. pressure. For the U.S. and Israel, he was a shadowy figure in command of Iran's proxy forces, responsible for fighters in Syria backing President Bashar Assad and for the deaths of American troops in Iraq. Solemani survived the horror of Iran’s long war in the 1980s with Iraq to take control of the Revolutionary Guard’s elite Quds Force, responsible for the Islamic Republic’s foreign campaigns. Relatively...

Streep, Miranda and Stone are named as Met Gala co-0chairs

Oct 20, 2020

NEW YORK — Next year's Met Gala may be the closest we'll ever come to getting a Miranda Priestly moment at the starry event. Meryl Streep has been named as a co-chair of the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute. The Oscar-winner played Priestly, a thinly veiled fictional version of Vogue editor Anna Wintour, in the movie "The Devil Wears Prada." Wintour clearly has no hard feelings because she selected Streep as a co-chair along with Lin-Manuel Miranda and fellow Oscar-winner Emma Stone. Designer Nicolas Ghesquiere rounds out the group. The gala's theme is "About Time: Fashion and Duration," which...

New Sept. 11 exhibit stages the hunt for Osama bin Laden

Oct 20, 2020

NEW YORK — Declassified U.S. government documents and artifacts will be part of a new exhibit about the decade-long search for Osama bin Laden at the site of the New York terrorist attack he masterminded. "Revealed: The Hunt for Bin Laden" opens Nov. 15 at the National September 11 Memorial & Museum, a multimedia account of the mission that ended with bin Laden's death in Pakistan in 2011. With direct access to the operatives who led America's feverish post-9/11 hunt for the top terrorist, the exhibit presents a sort of whodunit drama with graphics, videos and the voices of the...

China says US has 'weaponized' visas to target exchanges

Oct 20, 2020

BEIJING — China on Wednesday accused the U.S. of having "weaponized" the issuance of visas following the reported inability of a top Chinese space program official to obtain permission to travel to a key conference in Washington. Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying told reporters that the head of the Chinese delegation to the International Astronautical Congress wasn't able to obtain a visa following an Oct. 12 interview, making it difficult for Chinese representatives to attend important events at the meeting. Reports said the vice chairman of the China National Space Administration, Wu Yanhua, had planned to attend the congress. Hua...

Cracks were found in a key structural part on 38 Boeing jets

Oct 20, 2020

Inspections of some older Boeing jets have turned up structural cracks in more than three dozen of them, raising a new safety issue for the company already dealing with two deadly crashes involving a newer version of the same plane. Boeing said Thursday that airlines worldwide have inspected 810 planes following an order from U.S. safety regulators. Of those, 38 — or 5% — had "findings" requiring repairs. Airlines are under orders to inspect certain Boeing 737 NG planes for cracking in a part that helps keep wings attached to the fuselage. Boeing declined to identify which airlines found problems,...
